At one time, Baalah was a demoness, taking both pride and pleasure in corrupting mortals and causing mayhem, but something happened to her that touched her in a way that she never expected. She won't say what it was, only that it was very personal. She renounced her demonic nature and declared that she would, from that day forward, try her best to make amends for centuries of attrocious deeds. Of course, this meant she was immediately banished from the netherworld, and stripped of all her demonic powers, and became a mortal. She found the mortal life too limited and constricting, especially if she was ever going to try and make good over centuries of wickedness. So when the Kheldian Warshades came looking for willing hosts, Baalah jumped at the opportunity. She found a kindred spirit in one former Nictus named Ar'Deela, who was also looking to make up a lifetime of evil. Now together, they serve the ways of light as best they know how.
