Jane had always wanted to become a martial artist but lacked the skill and talent to become great, let alone competent. She began to despair of ever fulfilling her dream until that fateful day, working as a lab assistant at a research facility. A test that got out of hand exposed her to an intense burst of radiation.
What should have killed her left her changed. She gained the power to manipulate minds and could throw out sickening cancer-inducing radiation bursts but more importantly, she became stronger, tougher and faster. Her goal was achieved. While advanced techniques remained beyond her, none of that mattered. She was a true martial artist!
It wasn’t cheating to blind her targets or ‘convince’ them they were injured. Mental wounds were still in their heads, after all, and she still needed to physically pummel them into submission.
